Thornton Hall troll who defamed over 250 individuals and launched scathing online attacks is identified

Boyne News can exclusively identify an online troll who defamed over 250 individuals by posting names and pictures of over 250 Facebook profiles on social media last year.
Last September, we broke the news that an online Troll who went by the many names including “Jackie Walsh” and “Coleen O’ Shea” had been bullying and harassing innocent locals by posting allegations regarding protests in Thornton Hall on the Ashbourne and Ratoath Noticeboards on Facebook for numerous months.
Thornton Hall which is located on the Meath/Dublin border just outside the town of Ashbourne Co. Meath was set to become home to 1,000 male asylum seekers but now lies empty as a judicial review application was brought by residents who argued the Department had failed to carry out adequate environmental assessments.
The online troll who launched many online scathing attacks on those opposing the potential IPAS Centre on the Meath/Dublin County border, with many locals living in Ashbourne and Ratoath areas being harassed, bullied and threatened.
It has been confirmed that James (Jimmy) Skelly from Ratoath Co. Meath has now been identified as the Thornton Hall online Troll.
On Saturday, news broke of the identification of the troll on social media by an anonymous poster posting details of the individual with a picture of him.
Some locals had enough of his countless online attacks which made life a living hell for several people, with one woman telling Boyne News that she was in “Fear of her life” every time she heard a noise at night.
On Sunday 29th September 2024, Boyne News received footage of an altercation between two individuals which is believed to be the result of the online slurs which took place Seagrave Hall Ratoath, Co. Meath. Gardaí, who were already on the scene intervened and diffused the situation.
Since then, skelly made up several fake profiles (including a fake Boyne News page) and at one point made an AI image of two individuals with names and degrading comments.
One local told us of the pure torture they were put through by the online attacks,” there has been numerous made up fake Facebook pages, while he has harassed my wife and my daughter. There have been vile images sent to females in the past and some women are quite scared.”
One local woman who was too afraid to be named as a fear of reprisals told Boyne News of her traumatising experiences, “He terrorised me, I had the Guards parked outside my house for two days. He is totally obsessed.”
Another source told Boyne News of their Anger that local authorities wont step in. They Said,"He has been terrorising a lot of people in Ratoath for months. It started back in June to do with Thornton Hall. The fact he can do all this and get away with it is quite sickening. The gaurds won't look at it at all. Even before Thornton Hall, he had been harrasing people involved in the local BMX Club."
